Emma specialises in policy research and analysis and has recently worked on projects in Soho and West London, assisting community groups with their neighbourhood plans. She has also been providing historical and policy research on a project for the Greater London Authority and Port of London Authority, which makes a case for a cultural vision for the River Thames. Emma recently worked with the Greater London Authority on the launch of Publica’s report on international best practice in housing renewal, Vital Neighbourhoods: Lessons from International Housing Renewal.
She holds an MSc in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford, and a first-class BA in History and Politics from SOAS. Her primary research focus has been on social policy in an urban context, and her master’s thesis focused on the impact of housing policy on socio-economic spatial segregation in Oslo and Stockholm.
