Katie joined Publica in 2017 as since starting, she has worked on project for a client in Lambeth and been part of the team working on the Public Realm Strategy for the Winchester Station Approach.
Katie studied architecture at the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University and at the Royal College of Art for her Masters. Prior to working at Publica, Katie worked at SLA Copenhagen where she worked as an Architecture Intern on an urban development project in Ringkøbing K on the transformation of an agricultural site into a natural landscape that could accommodate new homes. Katie also worked at Adams and Sutherland in London as an Architectural Assistant on a broad range of publicly funded projects, including a community centre near Inverness, a pocket park in Hackbridge and a community performance space and public green in Harrow.
Whilst studying at the RCA, Katie was awarded a distinction and a nomination for the RIBA Dissertation Medal for her project ‘Capital Gains: How does the financialisation of property affect housebuilding in London’. The project was presented at the conference ‘Government and Housing in a Time of Crisis’ in Liverpool in 2016.
