Matthew is a qualified architect who joined Publica in 2015. He has worked on a number of public realm focused projects in London and elsewhere including a public realm strategy for the station approach in Winchester, the Hanover Square Public Realm Improvement Scheme for Westminster City Council and Great Portland Estates and the re-design of Bond Street for Westminster City Council and the New West End Company (NWEC). The Bond Street Public Realm Improvement Scheme won the Best Public Space award in the 2019 New London Architecture (NLA) awards.
As Projects Director Matthew is responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of projects from inception to completion and has extensive experience of: coordinating projects; working closely with clients and other design disciplines; managing design teams and working collaboratively with engineers, fabricators and contractors.
Before joining Publica, Matthew worked at Spratley Studios and AVR London. Matthew lives on a canal boat for which he designed and built the interior. Following this project he has designed and built several pieces of bespoke furniture for a range of clients
