Matthew joined Publica in 2015. A qualified architect, he has worked on a number of public realm projects in London and elsewhere including a public realm strategy for the station approach in Winchester, the Hanover Square Public Realm Improvement Scheme for Westminster City Council (WCC) and Great Portland Estates, and the re-design of Bond Street for WCC and the New West End Company – a project that won the Best Public Space award in the 2019 New London Architecture awards.
As Project Director, Matthew is responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of projects from inception to completion and has extensive experience in coordinating projects; working closely with clients and other design disciplines; managing design teams and working collaboratively with engineers, fabricators and contractors.
Matthew lives on a canal boat, for which he designed and built the interior. Following the project, he has been commissioned to design and build several pieces of bespoke furniture for a range of clients.
