Astrid manages large-scale public realm strategies and design projects at Publica. Since joining in 2018, she has worked on visions, strategies and design projects across London, and outside the UK. Previous projects include the compilation of an evidence base, vision and detailed design for Regent Quarter, a Placemaking Strategy for the Baker Street Quarter, and a study of tall buildings and amenity across the City of London, developing a coordinated ground plane and land use strategy. Most recently with KPF, she coordinated the public realm design within a large design team for a major new scheme at Old Street, which has been submitted to planning.
Astrid trained in architecture at Oxford Brookes University and the Royal College of Art. Prior to joining Publica, she worked at multi-disciplinary design studio The Decorators and architectural practice DSDHA, where she was awarded a two-year Research Fellowship in the Built Environment by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851.
Astrid is an Associate Lecturer at Camberwell College of Art, where she runs a design research studio on the BA Interior and Spatial Design course.
