We are so excited to see the opening of the Elizabeth Line at the new Bond Street station today. We are celebrating over a decade of collaborative work on the transformation of Hanover Square.

The over-station development at Bond Street East Station incudes the new Medici Courtyard and pedestrian routes linking Hanover Square to Bond Street and Tenterden Street. Commissioned by GPE London and working alongside Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands, we advised on the integration of the masterplan into the surrounding area, developed the public realm strategy, and set detailed design principles for the new courtyard and streets.

This was a catalyst project, as GPE London went on to support our concept design for Hanover Square itself, which was adopted by Westminster City Council and which we delivered with WSP in the UK, NRP, Todd Langstaffe Gowan, Withernay Projects, KLH Sustainability. Our design celebrates the square’s intrinsic character by revealing historic vistas and celebrating its civic identity, creating a revived garden oasis for residents, workers and visitors. It is very special to finally see it in full use.
