PUBLICA VISION's FOR BOND STREET AND OXFORD STREET FEATURED IN BERLIN EXHIBITION
The exhibition, titled ‘Unfinished Metropolis 100 years Greater Berlin’, details how the Berlin of today came to be.
Berlin’s metropolis is full of built attempts to shape the future, some successful and others not.
To mark the 100th anniversary of Greater Berlin, an exhibition named ‘Unfinished Metropolis 100 years Greater Berlin’ details its journey to becoming the city it is at present, as well as its influence as a testing ground for European metropolises and a laboratory for town planning.
Publica’s vision’s for both Bond Street and Oxford Street are featured in the exhibition, in a section named ‘Perspectives from Europe - Greater London: Urban development between regulation and deregulation’.
“London experienced a renaissance in urban development at the turn of the millennium, and the 2012 Summer Olympics brought global attention to the regenerated east of the city,” the exhibition text reads.
“In the years since then, London has strived to transform itself into a sustainable city, promoting cycling and trying to ensure affordable rents in the housing market.”
While the exhibition is currently closed due to pandemic regulations, its reopening is planned for early 2021.
