Plans unveiled for landmark redevelopment of LSE’s Bankside House

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), together with partners Equitix and Bouygues UK, has submitted plans to transform Bankside House into a best-in-class student residence in the heart of London’s cultural quarter.

Publica, together with Carmody Groarke, Sheppard Robson, and the wider consultant team, has designed the extensively planted terraces and roof gardens, and the pedestrian-priority public realm around the building. The landscape aims to build upon the success of the Tate Modern gardens by creating an active public realm and verdant landscape that contributes to the urban life of Bankside, enhancing the day-to-day experience of students, residents, and visitors.
