PUBLICA HOSTS SCREENING OF ‘THE WHARF’
Publica held a private screening of ‘The Wharf’, a documentary that explores the regeneration of Trinity Buoy Wharf as an exemplar of long-term stewardship for a community of users and a range of creative practitioners.
Cynthia Grant of the Trinity Buoy Wharf Trust, Urban Space Management Founding Director Eric Reynolds and Film Director Rupert Murray led a lively discussion about the importance of safeguarding land, finance and government to use this case study for wider advocacy.
“The film is funny and highly instructive as to how an urban environment can be developed in a creative way” and provides a “model of what is needed as artists are pushed further and further east,” Senior Director of Blain Southern Charles Saumarez Smith reflected on his blog.
