PALAK MEHTA
Urban Designer
Palak joined Publica as an Urban Designer in 2025, where she works across public realm, landscape and urban design projects.
She holds an MSc in Landscape and Urbanism from the University of Greenwich, where her thesis focussed on the relationship between sound and the built environment. Specifically, she explored the creation of silent islands in urban spaces through landscape architecture.
Palak received her Bachelor of Architecture at Savitribai Phule Pune University in India. Her academic work examined the role of architecture in conflict zones, with an emphasis on a community regeneration framework through cultural practices in Kashmir.
Before joining Publica, Palak previously worked as a Junior Architect with LDA Architects in Pune, where she contributed to the design and development of institutional campuses, residential and commercial landscapes and interior architecture projects.
