SARENA SHAH
Urban Designer
Sarena joined Publica as an Urban Designer in 2024, where she works across public realm, landscape and urban design projects.
Sarena holds a Master of Architecture from the London School of Architecture, where her thesis project ‘A Public Convenience’ explored the connection between people and ‘dirty water’ in the city. The title is representative of the project’s ambition to deliver accessible sanitation in London, challenging how accessible cities are without adequate public conveniences. Her design approach has been guided by a respect toward the existing context and the communities being served to create accessible and resilient spaces, informed by her previous experience in practise. Additionally, Sarena received her RIBA Part I at the University of Nottingham, during which she spent a semester in Ningbo, China.
