PUBLICA TO LEAD ON WORKSTREAM FOR CHINA ENERGY AND LOW CARBON ECONOMY PROGRAMME
The work will see Publica head up a project focusing on electrical vehicle implementation in China's Greater Bay Area.
The China Energy and Low Carbon Economy Programme (CELCEP) is designed to match the country’s specific reform needs with the UK’s energy and low carbon strengths, as a way of helping to reduce global emissions by accelerating China’s low carbon transition.
As part of the CELCEP programme, Publica has been appointed to lead the City Planning workstream within the New Energy Vehicle Implementation Project in China’s Greater Bay Area.
We will identify urban design challenges and barriers to the delivery of electric vehicle charging infrastructure facing the region and will outline UK policies and best practice to set out design guidelines.
“The project is an exciting opportunity to apply and expand our knowledge of the urban design challenges and opportunities associated with sustainable mobility infrastructure, with the potential for real international impact,” says Grace Catenaccio, Publica’s Project Director.
